L. pardalinum is the pod parent since that is the only way we could get these to cross. These are tall, vigorous growers, surrounded in the field by other American species hybrids, L. columbianum and L. pardalinum, any of which could have pollinated it.

ZONES 5-9.

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS: Sow seed in fall when temperatures are about 60 degrees F for 2 months, seed will germinate and form a small bulb, then the seedlings require several weeks of chilling temperatures (35 degrees F) in order to form leaves when it warms up. Use a deep flat or pot, 4-6 inches, keep in the shade and water sparingly in the summer. Seed may take 3 years to grow to a bulb large enough to plant out.
10 SEEDS

MULTIPLE ORDERS OF THE SAME SEED WILL BE PLACED IN THE SAME SEED PACKAGE.

White Beauty is a little later bloomer and a wonderful performer. White Beauty blooms on 4 foot stems with compact spikes.

Eremurus are Striking lily relatives with blooming spikes 3-4 feet tall! Bloom in late spring/early summer from a basal rosette of gray-green strap shaped leaves about 2 feet long. These make excellent cut-flowers, striking accent plants for a sunny, well-drained location. These need lots of room, good drainage, and are very drought tolerant. They will take some watering, be sure to dry them off in late summer.

ZONES 5 - 8, VERY WELL DRAINED

1LARGE CROWN, BUD SIZE IS 1INCH IN DIAMETER. The blooms are outfacing on stems 3-5 feet tall and the stems are sturdy, no staking needed. It blooms in mid-July. It thrives in full sun to shade, although it may lean in shade. Avoid planting in front of a hot reflective surface since it may burn the blooms.

Orienpet lilies are hybrids between the Trumpet/Aurelian divisions and the Oriental divisions. They have increased vigor, increased height, high bud counts, more disease resistance, better heat and cold tolerance, better performance in all types of gardens situations and tend to produce LARGE bulbs, but not many bulblets. They are also all polyploids and pretty much sterile.

Zones 3-8

1 BULB, AT LEAST 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER (24cm in cir).

Amaryllis belladonna, NAKED LADY, LADY GODIVA

Lady Godiva is hardier than the other Belladonna Lilies since it doesn't put up foliage until late winter, in our zone 7 the other Amaryllis belladonna puts up foliage in the fall and is usually frosted back, stunting the growth. One year some summer dug Lady Godiva was missed for replanting and left in an outbuilding all winter through 16 degree temperatures but did fine when we found it and planted it in May, very late for us, we now offer bulbs until spring, but quantities are subject to what was dug the previous summer.

Lady Godiva has narrow, flared and ruffled petals with a hint of blue. This blooms in late summer on "naked" stems from dormant bulbs, leaves go dormant in summer, it Blooms 2 weeks earlier than the other Amaryllis belladonna, blooming in mid August with 6 or more Fragrant, blue-tinted light pink, flaring trumpet shaped blooms on stems 18" tall. The blooms have long lasting quality and are wonderfully scented. Flowering stems are spectacular in the DRY, sunny border or as cut-flowers. These beauties want a hot, dry location to bloom well. Lady Godiva hates pot culture and will not bloom in pots as do the other naked ladies.

This bulb is very specific about its growing requirements and is happiest in well-drained soil that is warm and dry in the summer, in full sun. Plant with the top of the bulb 2 inches below the soil surface.

Zones 7-10 Deer and Rodents do not bother it.

Bulb size = 2 inches (16 cm) or more. Bulbs start shipping in July-early August and can bloom out of the soil, the blooms will be shorter than normal when out of the soil. Bulbs may sulk the first year they are dug and not bloom until reestablished. Bulbs are also shipped into the spring.

12 BULBS, BULB SIZE = 1 INCH IN DIAMETER, WE DUG TOO MANY LAST SUMMER AND I JUST CANNOT FACE HAVING TO ENDURE THE THE DRUDGERY OF REPLANTING HERE. TOLERATES REALLY LATE SPRING PLANTING (JULY) AND SURVIVES.

This is a tall and vigorous alstromeria that produces tons of bloomes all summer, this color does not fade or bleach very much in full sun. An excellent pink for floral arrangements

Alstromeria are from South America and are marginally hardy here in zone 7. They prefer full sun, good drainage and cool soil, this can be acheived with mulch. Not picky about pH or soil type. Blooms are very popular in the cut-flower industry as they last and last! Plants will bloom from frost to frost if the plants are kept dead-headed and watered. Hummingbirds find them irresistable! To harvest blooms, pull the stem from the ground, once plants are well rooted they can just be yanked, freshly planted plants should be carefully harvested. Alstromeria can be damaged from late frosts, protect young plants from spring frosts.

Alstromeria grow from rhizomes with fleshy tubers attached, plant 1-4 inches deep in well-drained soil, they prefer cool soil and regular water, mulch to keep the soil cool. Bloom production will slow down during hot weather. Plant the rhizome with the buds up, 1-4 inches deep. the rhizomes can be laid out horizontally, use the shallower planting depth so the buds can find their way up easily.

Plant alstromeria with the buds upward and the tubers downward.

1 CONTAINER GROWN PLANT SHIPPED BARE ROOT, SALE IS GOOD UNTIL GONE, SOLD OR FROZEN TO DEATH.

Sweet Laura is supposed to be fragrant but it is NOT the least bit fragrant here. A good cutflower or border variety, blooms are a bit smaller than our other Alstromeria hybrids. Plant in full sun, or light shade this one may die in too much shade.

Alstromeria are from South America.

Alstromeria grow from rhizomes and produce fleshy tubers also. Plant alstromeria with the buds upward and the tubers downward.

1 CONTAINER GROWN PLANT SHIPPED BARE ROOT, GOOD UNTIL PLANTS ARE GONE, SOLD OR FROZEN TO DEATH.

Will be taller in part shade. Blooms mid-late July.

Trumpet lilies are the MOST FRAGRANT of the lilies. Tall, up to 6 feet, downfacing trumpet blooms actually drip nectar. They bloom in mid July, full sun, avoid hot, reflective surfaces which may burn the blooms. They will bloom well in part shade, but staking may be needed to support the blooms. Trumpet lilies are very vigorous and easy, supposedly they do well in alkaline soils, they may need protection from late spring frost. They do not produce offsets or bulblets readily.

USDA Zones 5-10, colder climates w/winter mulch

1 BULB, BULB SIZE = AT LEAST 3.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER

These small and delicate blooms are fragrant!

Habitat:
The lady slipper orchid may be found in cool, moist, shady forests in soils rich with decaying leaves, needles, and wood. It may be found from near sea level to fairly high in the mountains.

Range:
The lady slipper orchid is found over much of Eurasia and North America. It may be found from Alaska to Labrador and southwards to California, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Michigan, New York, and Maine.

Calypso bulbosa is a common woodland plant here and does very well as a container plant if PROTECTED from plant predators: Slugs, Mice, grandchildren etc. and most importantly BIRDS. Birds will find this plant and totally demolish every bit of it including the corm within a NANOSECOND! Not Jays, not Starlings, but any of the sweet little songbirds that like to scratch around in the duff and so these really must be grown under the cover of a SCREEN.

Bloom size varies (click to enlarge), and is likely to depend more on environment then on bulb size. Eventually a large corm will divide into 2 or 3 new corms as seen in the photo to the left.

1 actively growing corm, actively growing in a 2 inch pot, PNW natives normally grow fall-spring and are summer dormant, that is how they evoLved to withstand our dry summers.

VERY LIMITED SUPPLY, I WILL NO LONGER PROPAGATE IT OR CARE FOR IT.

THE MAURADING DOGS HAVE DECIDED TO USE THE LARGE COLONY AS A LATRINE AND MANY CALYPSO HAVE BEEN DESTROYED. THE CALYPSO WAS SCREENED TO PROTECT IT FROM RACOONS, BUT LARGE, VICIOUS DOGS ARE NO MATCH FOR ANY OF OUR FENCING. SINCE WE CANNOT FENCE DOGS OUT, THE LINN COUNTY, OR SHERIFF'S AND ANIMAL "CONTROL" OFFICE HAVE REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT (ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LAWS AGAINST, FARMERS DO NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY PROPERTY OR PERSONAL RIGHTS IN THIS STATE) AND CONTINUALLY AID AND ABET OUR SCUMBAG NEIGHBORS THAT HAVE LOOSE AND/OR CONSTNTLY BARKING DOGS AND THE STATE OF OREGON HAS GRANTED DOGS A LICENCE TO KILL.

Blooms in August here and is one of our latest blooming lily cutflower variety. Has withstood 100 degree days in full bloom without burning on the petals as so many orientals do.

When this first came out much was made about how you could place the cut stems in food color and make a blue lily with this variety, we have finally tried it and it works! The blue is darker than the green because I told HIM to put his green one into something that would NOT tip over, so of course he didn't, and of course it did! This would work with any white lily and wouldn't it be fun to put a dark red into blue dye and make a purple one!

Zones 5-9, mulch in colder climates and prefers part shade or at least afternoon shade

1BULB, Bulb size is at least 2 inches in diameter (16 CM)

BULBS WILL BE SHIPPED THIS FALL, STARTING IN OCTOBER TO THE COLDEST AREAS FIRST, WE CAN SHIP ALL WINTER TO MILD AREAS.
NO SPRING SHIPPING, WE DO NOT HAVE THE COLD STORAGE FACILITIES SINCE LENGTHLY POWER OUTAGES ARE TOO COMMON AT THE FARM.

This one blooms in late spring/early summer from a basal rosette of gray-green strap shaped leaves about 1 foot long. The blooms are a light pink on spikes that may be 3 feet of solid bloom on a stem that is over 6 feet tall! These make excellent cut-flowers. Show-stopping specimen plants, and accent plants in rock gardens. This one has such tall blooms that heavy rains and wind can cause it to bend over. These need lots of room, good drainage, and are very drought tolerant. They will take some watering, be sure to dry them off in late summer. These go dormant in late summer and need no water after that. Plant 2-3 inches deep, do not get mulch directly on the crown or it will rot. Crowns have wide spreading, shallow roots, plant in a sunny spot, where soil will not be disturbed for a 3 foot diameter area. These are vigorous and have no serious pest problems, we get leaf spots due to our wet springs, but the blooms are seldom bothered by anything, great plant for honeybees.

Foxtail Lily or Desert Candle is one of those outstanding plants that should be grown more than it is. Though a little picky about location-(you MUST provide excellent drainage and full sun), it is worth finding the right spot for it. They will grow on clay soils with good drainage, as well as sandy and gravelly soils.

A member of the Lily family, it doesn't resemble a lily at all, hundreds of bell-like flowers are massed along 4-5 foot spires that bloom in late spring/summer. The dark green rosettes of leaves will fade away during summer, so it is wise to plant something else along the base, this will help mark where it is, so you won't disturb the roots later in the season.

Most Eremurus is imported from out of the country and sold in the spring, the roots are cut back and the crowns are heat treated to meet import requirements. They are not happy with that treatment and are of poor quality, and often DOA. Ours are hand planted, field grown, hand dug, roots will not be pruned off, although they are brittle and break easily.

These need lots of room, good drainage, and are very drought tolerant. They will take some watering, dry off in mid-summer, continued water will cause the crowns to rot. Plant 2-3 inches deep, do not get mulch directly on the crown or it will rot. Crowns have wide spreading, shallow roots, plant where soil will not be disturbed for 2-3 feet around them.

The flower spike is produced from a fleshy rooted crown with a central growing point. The tuberous roots fan out in all directions from the central point.

Hardiness Rating: ZONES 6 - 9, may be hardier than this and they do well with mulch

3 MED CROWNS, BUD SIZE IS 3/4 - 1 INCH IN DIAMETER. SHIPPED AUGUST - SPRING, SPRING PLANTED EREMURUS MAY NOT BLOOM THE FIRST YEAR, IT PREFERS A FALL/WINTER PLANTING TIME.

It has been placed in Hippeastrum, in the former Amaryllis or even in a new genus Rhodolirion.

The autumn/winter/spring-growing Rhodophiala bifida is from Uruguay and Argentina. It is dormant in summer but receives year-round rains. Therefore intolerant of thorough summer drought that would make it lose the roots. It is quite hardy (-12 C frosts are experienced by the southernmost populations). Summers are always long and hot in the wild.

It flowers in Late summer or autumn before the leaves appear. It is a strong and sturdy red wine colored, pest proof, tubular flower that can decorate your garden every fall when little else is blooming. They multiply quickly, especially when fed and watered. They are one of those marvelous plants which can thrive on complete neglect but do even better when fed, watered, and planted in good garden soil.

Height: Up To 12"

Color: Red

Full Sun Part Shade

Zones: Zone 7 - 9

Blooms Late Summer

Soil Moisture: Average, MOIST ALL YEAR EVEN WHEN DORMANT

10 bulbs, AT LEAST 1/2 inch in diameter, shipped actively growing. These grow year round here and so far have been very cold and wet soil tolerant.

SHIPPED NOW THROUGH FALL.
