Ixiolirion tataricum
This lovely blue bloomer used to be known as Ixolirion ledebourii, montanum and pallasii. Commonly called any of these: Wild Amaryllis, Mountain Lily, Tatar Lily, Siberian Lily. Fragrant umbels of starry trumpet flowers, blue to violet, on 12"-18" stems, usually with a darker blue line down the middle of petals. Like a miniature Amaryllis! The leaves are grass-like and often winter-persistent, mostly in a rosette; excellent in full sun in rock garden; prefers hot, dry summers.
A good choice for dry, sunny locations, drought tolerant!
